Priced so every student owns the book
Our titles cost a fraction of the $200+ texts from the big publishers. When the whole class can afford the book, the whole class does the reading.

A boutique college textbook publisher · Since 2004
Textbook Media Press publishes focused, faculty-written textbooks in mathematics and the sciences, and sells them at prices that let every student in your course actually own the book.
Why instructors choose us
The big publishers optimize for edition churn and bundle pricing. We publish a small list, keep it current, and price it for students.
Our titles cost a fraction of the $200+ texts from the big publishers. When the whole class can afford the book, the whole class does the reading.
Our authors are working faculty. The books are focused, rigorous, and light on the filler that pads out page counts and prices.
eBook, black-and-white paperback, loose-leaf, or color: students pick what fits their budget. Every print option includes the eBook.
Solutions manuals, lecture guides, test banks, and slides where available, plus student study aids that reinforce the text instead of replacing it.
The catalog
We publish in a handful of disciplines where we know the courses well. Each title comes with the formats and study aids students actually use.
Two-semester general biology and zoology, built for the majors sequence.
Upper-division texts in complex analysis, differential equations, and probability.
Solutions manuals, field guides, notes, and workbooks that pair with our texts.

Replacing oligarch textbooks since 2004.
About Textbook Media Press
We started in 2004 because the textbook market had stopped working for the people in the classroom. Prices climbed every edition, content barely changed, and students showed up to class without the book.
Textbook Media Press is a small, independent press based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We publish a deliberately short list of college textbooks written by faculty who teach the courses, and we sell them directly to students and campus bookstores. No middlemen, no inflated bundles, no seventh edition that shuffles the chapter order.
Being small is the point. It means an instructor who emails us gets a reply from someone who knows the book. It means we can keep an eBook under the cost of a night out, and a print copy well under the price of a lab manual elsewhere. And it means we get to say no to anything that does not serve the course.
One title, every format
Every publication is offered in the same set of formats, with identical content and page numbers. Whichever a student buys, the class is on the same page. Every print format includes the eBook, so students can read the day they enroll and get the book in the mail a week later.

From the classroom
We adopted the Ogden and Ogden Retailing: Integrated Retail Management textbook for two reasons: It is a better book than the retail management textbook we had been using for years, and the price is substantially more in line with our students' pocket books. We were tired of facing classes of students that only half of the students had books because they couldn't afford the over priced $200+ price tag. When we went with the Ogden and Ogden book, our student retention and student success improved dramatically. Our students now have a book that better meets their needs and gives them options to choose from.
I love using the Ogden & Ogden text for my retail class. The graphics are awesome, the content is clear and easy to follow. It's a priority that my students be able to read and understand the topics, and be able to implement what they have learned in their workplace. In my opinion Ogden & Ogden textbook helped me accomplish that with my students.
